Amber Sweeney is a highly sought-after performer and songwriter who sings from the depths of her soul and translates her own curiosity into stories that reassure people they are safe to be seen and heard. Sweeney’s voice, musical talent, and songwriting have been featured in two CW television series: One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected while one half of the duo Everly. Another original song and performance by Sweeney was featured on television show Queen Sugar in collaboration with Italian artist Michael Prado. Most recently, Amber has been diving into the Nashville music scene. She was a finalist for the 2022 Tennessee Songwriter Week, has joined the Song Suffragette’s – with whom she performed at the “Bizzy Awards” during the 2022 Music Biz Conference – and her song “Breathe” was a semi finalist in the 2021 ISC Competition (International Songwriter Competition).
In 2013, Sweeney released two E.P.s: The Starting Line and Christmas Time. In 2014, she teamed up with Seattle producer Geoff Ott (Candlebox, Murder City Devils) for the first time, to record a single for London Tone Music, which was featured on their 52x52: A Year In Your Ear project. “Lone Sailor” reached #4 on the iTunes Blues chart. In 2017 Sweeney reconvened with Ott at London Bridge Studio to record her first full-length album, Believing In Love. A triumphant body of musical emotion, the record would come to define her signature soul/blues sound.
The following year, Sweeney teamed up with Australian producer Jazzy D. to cut the single “Sweet Light”, which reached #1 on the U.K. Soul charts. Paul Miller of BBC Radio lauded the track as “one of those classic ballads we’ll be playing for years to come.” In 2019 she released the single “Beautiful”, a song for those who struggle with the idea they are not young enough, talented enough, or pretty enough to follow their dreams. On her latest release “Breathe,” Sweeney seamlessly melds folk, pop, and R&B into a languid, soulful meditation.
Sweeney has served as governor for the Pacific Northwest Chapter for 6 years, was co-chair for the chapter’s Education Committee, along with serving on the P&E Wing Committee during her tenure.
Your will be done
“Your Will Be Done is a song that represents the emotion around being a single woman in your 30's, having big dreams, a big calling, a big work ethic, and trusting all along that your desires will be filled by someone bigger than you.”
