Sweet Tea Trio - opening act Hope Cassity August 26, 2021

  • Pure Life Studios 206 Clark Street LaGrange, GA, 30240 United States (map)

Sweet Tea Trio is an all-female harmony group hailing from the deep south. They’ve opened up for legendary acts of all genres including Bon Jovi and Alabama. The three are signed with Vector Management & Lost Highway Touring; and are managed by singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer, Kid Rock. All meeting in Nashville, Tennessee: Kate Falcon, 21 from Alabama, Victoria Camp, 23 from Alabama, & Kayley Green, 25 from South Carolina are the three ladies who make up Sweet Tea Trio. Together, their music has no limit. Each growing up with different influences, listening to bands like Journey and classic country legends like Loretta Lynn, the three keep their lyrics honest and their music full of roots and authenticity. They are currently recording a studio album, produced by Kid Rock and are continuing to write for future projects. Performing all over the country in venues like arenas, theaters, and outdoor music festivals, the three have a love and passion for traveling together and meeting their fans. Kate, Victoria, and Kayley write all of their own music and take pride in connecting with fans through their lyrics. Together, these three encompass what it means to be rock-n-roll gypsies with a love for what they do. Sweet Tea Trio is bringing a new “old school country with a country-rock flair” to Nashville. Robert Ritchie/Kid Rock explains, “These young ladies are some of the most talented, kind-hearted, and hard-working singers and players I have ever met. At their young ages, they are already becoming fast scholars of the road and writing songs. In my opinion, they pick up where the Dixie Chicks and Pistol Annies meet. They are 100% country and I look forward to sharing my 30 years in this business to get them an honest shot at the big time.“ Sweet Tea Trio has always believed in the power of their fans. They are leading examples of what it looks like to follow your heart and to go after what inspires you. Fans and promoters not only love the music but always have a complimentary word to say about the amazing energy and enthusiasm that the three bring to the stage. Kate Falcon, Victoria Camp, and Kayley Green are three women who represent what hard work, perseverance, and passion look like. Together, they are Sweet Tea Trio.

LISTEN TO SWEET TEA TRIO

Hope Cassity (full story here) lived in Tennessee for 6 years and graduated Nashville's “hard knocks” school of music. Eventually, she earned her place as a respected songsmith on Music Row. Writing one of her signature songs “STING” alongside and with #1 hitmaker Jim McBride and award-winning writer Jerry Salley (Outlaw State of Mind, Chris Stapleton).

With 7 cuts by the popular Indie Rock duo Penny Rae, Cassity proves that as a writer, she knows no boundaries or labels, and her songs stand out in multiple musical niches and genres. In fact, her song “Closure” became the first single off their self-titled album and consequently, her song “Alabama River” was chosen as the first single from their second Americana album. The videos for the Penny Rae songs aired on 40+TV networks nationwide alongside major label acts such as Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, and Lady Antebellum. She also co-wrote “Out of My Mind" a bluesy soulful country song with Victoria Camp (one-third of the rising female country group from Alabama, Sweet Tea Trio). So it’s no surprise that Cassity was a three-time Nashville Country Music Association Nominee (NCMA), and named NCMA Female Vocalist of the Year in 2015. She was a two-time top 25 Finalist in the Nashville Music City Songwriting Competition and top 10 in Songwriter Serenade. That year she was also selected as one of only 3 to perform at the World Sync Summit with the world’s best filmmakers and music industry licensing executives. Cassity is optimistic about 2019 but is slow to announce plans. She will release new music soon so fans can expect to hear more from her this year.

Traveling around the southeast, armed with only a guitar, Hope has had the chance to sing to audiences in sold-out arenas of over 30,000. She also can be found sharing her emotional story in intimate songwriter rounds, listening rooms, and classrooms. Her storytelling abilities through song profoundly affect her audiences, ranging from bringing them from tears to toe-tapping clapping along.
